Google Gmail service has been restored after outage reported


It seems like Google has manage to solve the problem that made us very angry this day.The famous email service was down Tuesday after an old method to get down a web server.It seems like some hackers have tried to connect simultaneously to Gmail accounts using thousands of computers in order to crash the Google Gmail Server.

The data used on Gmail accounts was not damaged but the availability of the service was down for almost 4-5 hours.Gmail went down at 2 pm IST, causing inconvenience to as many as 110 million users worldwide.

The officials sayd

Many of our users had difficulty accessing Gmail today. The problem is now resolved and users have had access restored. We know how important Gmail is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously, and we apologize for the inconvenience.


They were reserved with comments but KPMG executive director Akhilesh Tuteja told ET. “This means Google now needs to differentiate between machines and human beings,” he said.

The Gmail servers haven't been the only one who were affected by the hackers.Some of the Google Apps Servers were down too, so it seems like docs Google were unavailable too.
